Happy belated Halloween everyone. It was a busy weekend in the Kareus household. Friday I had the day of off work and took Carter for his three month pictures. I think they turned out good and will post a link to them as soon as the photographer (our friend Kelly) gets them up on her website. After we got home on Friday we spent some time hanging out with Nixon on the deck because it was so beautiful out!
Saturday was of course Halloween. Carter, Nixon and I made an emergency trip to Vet because Nixon has licked a cut (one that I gave him, I know bad mom) raw in a huge patch on his leg. They gave him a steroid shot and sent us on our way. Then Saturday night we headed over the Huff's for our annual Halloween Party! This years theme was classic Halloween. As you can see in the photos below Carter went as a bat, Tom as the grim reaper and I as a vampire. I have to say we were quite the dark family.
Sunday we relax for a bit and then headed up for our first Broomball season of the year. It felt good to get our and exercise since I haven't had the chance since I went back to work. We won 4 to nothing and I have to brag about Tom because he scored 2 of our goals! Carter is sure to be good athlete with a Dad like that! Carter did pretty good, slept thru the 1st period, was awake during the 2nd and fused during the 3rd. Thankfully he had a great babysitter! Thanks Heather for watching him, it's good practice. (Heather is expected a baby in May, more babies!!!!)
Another accomplish for Carter since our last post in increased hand coordination. He pulled out his nuk with one hand, put it in the other and then back into his mouth. It is truly amazing how fast they learn things!
