1 Year Old... how fast time flies!

So since our last blog we have been super busy... seems to be a trend this summer and it doesn't look to slow down anytime soon. So here is what we have been up to....

Last Friday I had a work outing which I took Carter to. Highlights included:

- Eating Banana's wrapped in bacon on the grill, weird I know but it was super good!

- About 90% of my co-workers holding Carter. Seriously he didn't cry once and everyone was always asking me where he was because I never had him. He got passed around and loved the attention

- Army Truck rides... see picture below. We are an odd bunch but aren't all engineers?!?

Then Tom's mom and dad came down to help us Celebrate with another party for Carter's Birthday. We had a good time. Carter got more presents and got to spend some time with his grandparents and his friend Lincoln. He got a Red Rider from us and he love to take rides in it. He likes it even better when Tom or I ride with him. That's right, you should have seen me pulling Tom and Carter through out subdivision! But in Tom's defense I got a ride too! :-)

Tom's parents left on Sunday and Uncle Matt and soon to be Aunt Jac came to see Carter for his actually birthday. They were able to stay on this morning and I think all went really well considering Carter had an ear infection and pink eye in both eyes. Speaking of that trip to the Peds on Tuesday morning, while we were waiting to see the doctor Carter decided he wanted to crawl out of no where. We have been working with him for months now and when were not even trying he decides to crawl. Figures.... I new he was going to be stubborn like his Aunt Heidi! But we can finally say he can crawl, although he still prefers scooting.

For Carter's actual birthday we took a long bike ride with Matt and Jac, 8.5 miles and Carter was excellent!

Today we had Carter's one year check up and he is 30 inches tall (75 th percentile) and 22.4 oz (25 thpercentile). I can't believe that a year ago he was born. Time goes way to fast! But all you can do it enjoy every minute of it, which we are.

Have a good weekend everyone!
