So the title sums up the last few weeks for us.
So we decided that this spring we were going to get Carter a swing set. He loves to be outside and lets face it what kids doesn't want a swing set. Tom decided that it would be too much work to make it all from scratch so he found a decent deal on the Internet and within one week of decided we were going it get it. It was in pieces at our house. He is the manual for assembly and a picture of what it will look like when completed.
The first day of assembly was rough... Tom got part of it up on a Saturday before lunch as we were sitting eating lunch admiring his hard work from the morning it fell over. It wasn't funny.. o.k. lets face it. That was hilarious! And it was even funnier when he determined that no damage was done. Carter of course being a our little helper couldn't wait to help.
And his dad who is very impatience didn't think that Carter needed to wait till the swing set up was up to enjoy it, so the slide was positioned off of the deck so Carter could use it. As you can see from the pictures below he loved it. The funny part is that now that the slide is on the swing set he doesn't like it at all. The grade of the slide is a bit steeper than when it was attached to the deck, which likely is the reason why.
This past week we had some of company. Our good friends from college Jeremy and Teri came down for a visit with their little guy Jacob from Wisconsin. And he had to be the best baby I have have met yet. The only time we heard him cry all weekend was when he was hungry. It was nice to see them and catch up!
Carter of course didn't understand that everything wasn't his. And they were nice enough to let him sit in Jacob's bouncy seat. The look on his face in the picture below is what happened after Teri turned on the vibration int he bouncy seat. Pretty funny.
Unfortunately the end of the week didn't end as good as it started. Carter was sick all night Saturday and all day Sunday. No ear infection, Hooray but he did run a good fever for the better part of 48 hrs. Today he is feeling much better.
