So the past two weeks we have been busy with Christmas Activities. I am going to start with the most recent first since that is the way the pictures uploaded. So this past Saturday night we hosted our annual Christmas Party with friends. This is the second year we did a Murder Mystery Party. So below is a picture of all the individuals who attended the Christmas Party of the Law Firm Lie, Cheat, and Steal. We had a great time. There was lots of laughing and three murders in total! Miss Marsha Mellow (a.k.a. Heather) was the killer, she took out Ben DeToy (Tom) trying to cover up a drug developed by her pharmaceutical company. There was lots of bribing, killing, and laughing. :-) So your probably saying there are children in that picture. Don't worry we had two babysitters to wrangle the kids upstairs for the portion of the evening when we conducted the Murder Mystery.
Will Lie (Andy) and Ben DeToy (Tom) after Will announced Tom to be the new partner of the law firm. He only got to be partner for a 20 minutes before he croaked. :-)
Carter was loved Harper's Shoes. He ran around showing them off. It was pretty cute.
Tom calls this Carter control center. He loves to sit sit and push the buttons. Don't worry we are not encouraging this in fact just the opposite but I had to get a picture for proof some day when he has kids and is complaining about them being into everything.
I went to Boston on business a few weeks ago and while I was gone Tom taught Carter to "Clean the dishes" It was cute at first but now every time I am in front of the sink he tried pulling a chair over to help, which means make a mess. Needless to say there have been alot of temper tantrums in our house lately when Carter doesn't get his way. Which is every day!
The weekend before last we ventured out in the cold weather to watch the Columbus Lights Parade. We had never been before but they did a good job. Carter sat on my lap outside for about 25 minutes watching attentively until I realized his hands were like ice under his gloves. So we headed into one of the Cummins office buildings to watch the rest of the parade. Carter entertained himself with the glass windows after we headed inside.
Earlier in the day we when out to get our Christmas Tree. This year we started a new tradition. Going out to cut down our own tree rather than buy it at Lowe's or Kroger. Its not quite like at home where we would go out searching my parents property but a tree farm is about as close as we are going to get to that.
Our tree before Tom cut it down!
Carter didn't care for the snow much. But we know we need to get him used to it if he is going to enjoy winter sports as much as we do. We'll see how he does when we stick him in three feet of snow my parents have in their front yard at Christmas. That ought to make a interesting picture.
